Hand-painted and designed a desktop calendar for 2023.

Theme: The Moon and Mountainscapes

Type: Hand-painted, and printed on 350 gsm paper

Ideation: The mountainscape paintings are of the Dhauladhar range of the Himalayas in the Indian state, Himachal Pradesh. I wanted to create something that brought together the two things I have immense love and admiration for: the moon and the mountains. All the paintings are in a circular shape and I have added the shadows (which fall on the moon, hence giving rise to the phases of the moon) digitally.

The phases of the moon are a cycle of approximately 28-30 days. January is the 2nd day of the phase, February is the 5th day, March is the 8th day, April is the 10th day, May is the 12 day, June is the 15th (full moon), July is the 17th day, August is the 19th, September is the 21st, October is the 23rd, November is the 26th and December is the 28th day (new moon).

These calendars are available for purchase. Each calendar includes national holidays for India, but can be customised for people placing orders from countries other than India.
